Setting Limits with Young Children
For parents of children ages 2-5.
Learn techniques to build and uphold limits while being firm and kind.
Behavioral limits help young children learn to go to bed on time, pick up after themselves, and get along with others. Limits also provide security, order, and an understanding of the way the world works.
In this webinar, you'll learn:
- the important distinction between obedience and cooperation -- and why it matters
- how to set and enforce limits in a firm and friendly manner
- techniques to encourage the long-term goals of cooperation, capability, and beginning independence
Your enrollment includes access to the video recording, an audio version that you can listen to podcast-style, and handouts.

Colleen Reed took her first PEP class when her son was 2 1/2 and a feisty, strong-willed toddler. New perspectives on parenting and new strategies to foster a cooperative relationship with her son transformed Colleen's family and professional life.
In addition to serving on the PEP staff and leading classes since 2012, she taught Music Together classes for 12 years where she put her PEP skills to work in understanding young children's needs in a group setting.
Colleen lives in the DC area with her husband, teenage son and a friendly flock of chickens.
