Class Description
Encouragement is the KEY ingredient that makes all other parenting strategies work. And really, understanding how to encourage your child is not as easy as it sounds.
This class is where parents build the foundation for their approach and answer the question "What kind of parent do I want to be?" You wouldn’t build a house on a weak foundation; likewise, you can’t help children develop into capable, resilient adults (that is the goal!) when day-to-day interactions and relationships are steeped in a negative, discouraging spin cycle.
In this class, you'll learn encouragement strategies and techniques to build a better connection with your child. Parents find that many of the challenges leading them to PEP -- defiance, power struggles, screen time issues -- become less problematic when they have tools to foster their child's independence, resilience, and cooperation.

Your Instructor
Lisa is a lifelong educator and trainer in many capacities: from computer, communication, and relationship skills in Fortune 500 companies, to respectful ways for parents to teach and support their children.
She discovered PEP when one of her 3 children was struggling in school. After getting guidance from a counselor on how to help her child, she asked “That’s great, now what can you do for ME, because I feel like a failure as a parent, all I ever do is yell at my kids, if we continue this way not only will I fail, but my children will fail too!”
PEP provided skills, support, and practice for Lisa's family. She is passionate about helping parents guide their children to be capable, positive, independent and courageous.
