Fighting, Hitting & Biting: Challenging Behaviors in Toddlers & Preschoolers
The toddler and preschooler years, ages 1 through 5, are a time of great change and growth. Children in this age group are beginning to learn how to manage their emotions, their bodies, and their relationships.
When things are not going their way, emotions can flare and lead to meltdowns. These behaviors are hard enough for parents, but the most challenging behaviors are when young children hit, bite, or fight with another child.
Join us to explore:
- Why these flare-ups happen and understand how children's bodies and brains are activated in the moment
- How to teach your child acceptable outlets for frustration
- How to respond as a parent in a respectful, effective way
- What to do when your preschooler acts aggressively toward a baby or younger sibling

"I enjoyed the program. I really liked hearing the strategies and then a real life scenario that actually pertained to me and how to step-by-step use the strategy to solve the problem."

"I liked it! It's not always easy to attend classes in-person, so the online class is very convenient and conducive for both parents to participate."
