Dads Share Advice on Power Struggles
PEP has offered occasional programs for Dads since 2016 to explore parenting challenges from a father's point of view. In this webinar, two PEP Parent Educator Dads explore the universal challenge of parent-child power struggles – moments when you and your child are locked in conflict and focused on winning rather than solving the issue at hand.
Through a mixture of personal stories, parenting tools, and a good dose of humor, the presenters share strategies to:
- identify power struggles (hint: they’re often repeated, so you get lots of opportunity to try new ideas),
- address what to do in the moment to defuse the conflict,
- establish a preventative approach based on solving problems and providing positive power to your child.
Registration includes access to the live webinar, handouts, and audio/video recordings.
